Financial Aid / Scholarship Info
Support for autistic people and their supporters.
Volunteer
There are a number of charitable events and fundraisers throughout the year in which we need volunteers to help accomplish our goals.
Donate
ASO is a non-profit organization. We depend on fund raising and donations to sponsor our programs. Help send an autistic child to camp, help fund an educational workshop for parents of autistic children or help us grow our lending library of books on autism.
Take A Break on ASO
Providing supports for an autistic person can be challenging. Parents, foster parents and guardians often don’t have enough time for themselves and need a break to re-energize. To help, ASO launched its popular “Take A Break on ASO” program in 2007. Since then, we have provided gift certificates to wonderful local restaurants, passes to first-run movies and paid for respite care for the children in the household. This program is open to parents and guardians of autistic adults as well. This program is on-going during COVID-19 restrictions.
Take a Breather on ASO:
We have expanded our very popular “Take a Break on ASO” program for parents to provide a similar opportunity for autistic adults to relax and recharge. ASO will provide up to $100 per autistic adult per year to facilitate a break or “breather” of the person’s choice. Oregon has one of the highest rates of autism in the U.S. If you haven't already, you will meet someone with autism. People with autism want to lead fulfilling lives and make a meaningful contribution to society. Together, we can make that happen.
