TRAINING – For Policymakers: Fair Housing for People with IDD
This training will help policymakers better understand fair housing issues for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and ways to resolve them.
Training topics include:
Findings from 14 statewide listening sessions regarding housing issues facing people with IDD. Participants included people with IDD, family members, disability services providers, housing providers, and other partners.
Pertinent historical context related to housing discrimination for people with IDD.
Fair Housing rights and needs for people with IDD.
Examples of Local Legislation to promote community inclusivity for people with IDD.
