NW Conference on Professional Development in Disability Services (Eugene)
October 24, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
$450Please join us for the 2017 NW Conference on Professional Development in Disability Services.
We chose the theme of Cultures of Quality to speak to where we hope to be in the I/DD support system. As we grapple with change and adapt to new expectations in many ways we have to look to and within ourselves to find the core of quality.
The opening keynote with Robin Rose, an accomplished trainer, speaker and consultant with a background in counseling and education, translates the latest research into practical skills on how to stay calm, professional and effective when under stress.
We also need tools, knowledge and understanding to do our best work together, and we have that in abundance in our agenda. The agenda is built for teams to learn together so content is beneficial to every professional level.
We focus on our humanity with End of Life and Palliative Care and Aging and Dementia for I/DD with Sherry Neal, RN-BC, CDDN, Trauma Informed Care 101 and Workforce Wellness with Ana Hristic and Lifecourse with Marilee Bell, Beth Kessler and Emilie Wylde Turner.
Separating Housing from Services, ISPs, IEPs and Transition, Shifting Culture and Change, Music for Health: An Introduction to Music Therapy and Practical Tips for Providers are just some of the extraordinary sessions we have for you.
