Suma Jacob, MD, PhD, is a child-adolescent-adult psychiatrist and neuroscientist who has expertise in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. She has led biomarker and clinical trials for autism and works on related developmental disorders such as OCD, ADHD, and Tourettes. Her current NIH R01 research is related to data-driven approaches, using online and non-invasive technology, to study biobehavioral differences in early childhood that predict dimensional and categorical disorder outcomes related to ASD in large community samples (N >3000 to date). Dr. Jacob investigates ways to tailor and to optimize neurodevelopmental interventions across the lifespan.
