DESCRIPTION:  \nUpdate: The first 2 slots are full\, due to demand we’ve added a new “Free for All” Egg hunt time slot at 3:15 PM.\nIf you have registered and cannot attend\, please let us know\, so we can make the time available to others.\nJoin us for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday March 25th! \nThe event will take place at Mountain View Champions Park – 5915 SW 170th Ave\, Beaverton OR 97007 \nThere will be 2 egg hunts to choose from: \nBoth egg hunts are wheelchair accessible/mobility device friendly. \nThis is a free\, sensory-sensitive event for Autistic people or those who identify as Neurodivergent along with people who experience developmental\, learning or physical disabilities. There will be lots of Activities and 2 different Egg Hunts. \nReserve a Spot for one of 2 Egg Hunts: Pick from either the sensory-friendly “Quiet Egg Hunt” or the “Free For All” egg hunt. \n– “Quiet Egg Hunt” will run from 1pm – 2pm. There is not a hard start time. Instead egg hunters who prefer a quiet space can enter into the Egg Hunt area at any time between 1pm – 2pm to collect their 12 eggs. Please bring your own basket. Wheelchair accessible/mobile device friendly. \n– “Free for All” Egg hunt has a hard start at 2:30 pm. This is a traditional Egg Hunt without sensory adaptations. Limit of 12 eggs per participant. SUMMARY:ASO's Spring Celebration and Inclusive Egg Hunt (Beaverton)
DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy the Autism Friendly Spring Celebration at Mountain View Champions Park in Beaverton. This FREE event will feature bouncy houses\, face painters\, inclusive egg hunts and more – all in an autism friendly environment. We will have a sensory area along with a quiet area. Lots of fun for all abilities and all ages. Adults with disabilities are welcome to participate too! \nRegister at LINK \nPre-Registration Required to Participate in the Egg Hunts. \n[Parents/Caregivers: You do NOT have to register yourself. Please register only the participants who will be picking up eggs.]\nIt’s OK to sign up different children\, or people you’re supporting\, for different egg hunts as long as there is an adult or supporter to accompany the person\, if needed. There is a limit of 12 eggs per participate to make sure everyone can participate and have fun. \nBoth Egg Hunts are in an area where you can use a wheelchair\, walker or if you need an even surface to make this a fun experience. \nPlease register each egg hunter for only 1 of 2 different Egg Hunts: \n1. “Quiet Egg” hunt – Begins at 1:30 pm. This egg hunt is focused on providing a calmer atmosphere for egg hunters who need a quieter environment where the volume is lowered. The participants are not expected to be silent\, and we suggest bringing head phones or any other noise abatement devices that participants may typically use in public environments. We know that some people who dislike noise can be quite loud themselves. We ask that you position those participants so they are to the far left of the egg hunt area. **If you registered for the Quiet Egg Hunt\, but think that the “Free for all” would be a better fit\, please let us know and we’ll be happy to switch you. \n2. “Free for All” hunt – Begins at 2:00 pm. This egg hunt is focused on providing a less restrictive environment for egg hunters who like to make big noises and are not bothered by noise.
