DESCRIPTION:This group is unaffiliated with ASO \nBoffer Group (Foam Swordfighting) \nSaturday\, July 15th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nThe summer boffer series will continue with another group meeting on Saturday\, July 15th. Registration is required. The location and details will be provided a few days before the event to those who register to attend. \nFee $20 (Optional) If you’d like to contribute to help out with the cost of building and maintaining our equipment\, we suggest a donation of $20 per player\, but it’s optional and everyone is welcome to give whatever they’d like. Nobody will be turned away for lack of payment. \nWe will be at a location in SE Portland\, with the address sent out to those who register. \nThis group is designed to accommodate individuals on the autism spectrum but it’s inclusive and anyone can register to play. \nThere is no age limit but we’ll have teens and adults participating\, so small children should be prepared for physical games with older people. Some kids under the age of 12 prefer registering with a friend or family member to team up with. \nALL of the equipment will be supplied: swords\, shields\, staves\, axes\, etc. All you have to do is show up ready to run around and battle! \nWhen registering\, please let us know how many will be playing and their ages (or just if they are a child\, teen\, or adult). \nEmail Jonathan Chase to register: jonathan@jonathanchase.net

DESCRIPTION:Presented by The Autism Society of Oregon \nTryon Creek Nature Walk \nWho- These walks are meant to be a safe space for Autistic individuals\, their families\, friends\, and supporters to be together to enjoy and experience nature without any agenda and no judgment. The Family Walks are open to people of all ages\, while the Adult Walk is open to anyone age 18 and older. \nWhat- Come and enjoy a beautiful\, guided nature walk at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. The guided walks will be led by an Oregon Master Naturalist\, Certified Interpretive Guide and former ASO Board member. \nWhen- There are 2 separate dates to choose from: \nThursday\, July 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm (Family Walk) \nUpdate: the Saturday\, August 26 Family Walk is now full.\nSaturday\, August 26 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm (Family Walk) \nSunday\, August 27 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm (Adult walk – ages 18+) \nWhere- Tryon Creek State Natural Area: 11321 Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard Portland\, OR 97219 \nParking can be limited. Consider arriving early to allow time to park and join the group. \nWe are capping each guided walk at 20 people.
