Much of Zack’s research focuses on the phenomenon of decreased sound tolerance (including hyperacusis\, misophonia\, and phonophobia) in autistic and non-autistic adults\, which he hopes to better understand using a combination of self-report questionnaires\, psychoacoustic tasks\, and electrophysiologic measures. Additional areas of interest include the assessment and treatment of co-occurring mental health problems and psychosomatic symptoms in autistic adults\, applied quantitative/statistical methods in psychiatry\, and the development of novel questionnaires to assess core and associated features of the autism phenotype. DESCRIPTION:Update from the organizers: Unfortunately registration for this year’s event is full!! We shut down Registration last Friday!! \n  \nThis event will take place on Oct 29th\nat Sam Johnson Park in Redmond Oregon\nFrom 5pm to 7pm \nThe event is open to all ages. \n \nThis event will include a free sensory friendly trunk-or-treat time for COAM families. A Sensory Friendly Trunk-or -Treat promotes a safer and more inclusive celebration to the traditional Halloween festivity. Our Organization understands that individuals with disabilities\, of all ages\, may struggle or be excluded from typical trick-or-treating due to: social skills\, physical accessibility\, communication barriers\, allergies\, etc. \nCOAM Families have a special time between 5pm to 6pm\nWe have some awesome individuals and families that support COAM.\nWe will open it up to public supporters from 6:00pm to 7:00 with a $10 child donation fee to support our Organization.\nTickets are limited\, and must be purchased online. \n \nJoin COAM for our Annual Sensory Friendly Truck or Treat with a option for the public to join in on the fun and help us raise funds and collect items for our Donation Drive! \nWe will have food as well as COAM Merchandise available for purchase.\nFace painting and lots more. Come dressed in your favorite costume! Register to host a trunk and hand out candy!! Contact us if you interested in hosting a trunk.
