DESCRIPTION:Presented by The Autism Society of Oregon \nWho- These walks are meant to be a safe space for Autistic individuals\, their families\, friends\, and supporters to be together to enjoy and experience nature without any agenda or judgment. The Family Walks are open to people of all ages\, while the Adult Walk is open to anyone age 18 and older. \nWhat- Come and enjoy a beautiful\, guided nature walk at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. The guided walks will be led by an Oregon Master Naturalist\, Certified Interpretive Guide and former ASO Board member. \nWhen- \nSunday\, November 19 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm (Family walk\, all ages) \nSaturday\, December 2\, from 1:00 to 2:30 (Adult walk – ages 18+) \nWhere- Tryon Creek State Natural Area: 11321 Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard Portland\, OR 97219 \nParking can be limited. Consider arriving early to allow time to park and join the group. \nWe are capping each guided walk at 20 people. The Self- Regulation Station will be set up in the Ford Room with a soft blanket\, bean bag chair\, folding chairs\, foam flooring\, sensory bins\, fidgets\, and BB Sea Reads. The lights will be dimmed and blinds closed to create a calm space participants can utilize if overstimulated.\n\nWe would love to see YOU there! No reservations required so drop by and *WAVE* hi to our crew.
