DESCRIPTION:This training series is brought to you in partnership by: \nThe University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at OHSU and Among Friends\, LLC \nSexual Self-Determination Training Program \nTier 1 – Foundations \nThis training will give participants a broad set of tools to understand and support the sexual health and development of people they support. These tools are beneficial for anyone\, and especially helpful for people who work with someone who experiences intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. \n This course can be taken as a stand-alone training to strengthen your skills or as part one of our three-part sexual self-determination certification program! \n\n     Attendance for all 3 days is required to receive a certificate of completion and be eligible for Tier 2. The program is geared for those teens on the spectrum who need a parent\, guardian\, or caregiver to meet with success\, and some of the activities require participation from the accompanying adult. The activities include drawing with a tutorial\, dancing to favorite songs\, conversation starters and guessing games as well as watching movie and animation clips together plus much more. Activities\, songs and clips are chosen based on the participant’s ‘preferences.
