DESCRIPTION:Presented by Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE) \nBeyond Crisis: Supporting Suicide Prevention in the Autistic Community \nSeptember 17\, 2026 \n9:00 AM – 11:00 AM PT \nOnline via Zoom / Recording Available \nDr. Kirby is an Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Utah and Trinity College Dublin. She is one of the field’s leading voices on suicide risk and prevention for Autistic people. This workshop draws directly on her latest findings – research conducted in true partnership with Autistic people\, family members\, and professionals – to help attendees broaden their approach to prevention and support long before a crisis occurs. \n$35 general registration / $60 with 2 MPA CE credits \nLive attendance is required to receive CE credits. \nAANE can offer participants a reduced fee or free registration through the Jody Acford Memorial Fund. As long as space remains\, no one requesting financial aid will be turned away. DESCRIPTION:Presented by The Autism Society of Oregon \n(Online) Support and Discussion Group for Autistic Adults – Thursday Edition\, age 18 + Meets online every Thursday\, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. \nThe purpose of this group is to cultivate a safe\, affirming space to process and discuss what it’s like to be autistic in the world. \nWe will be reviewing books\, talking about neurodiversity\, and openly talking about life on the spectrum in general. \nThe group is facilitated by Lisa Sawyer\, an Autistic adult and a peer. Lisa is an active volunteer in the community\, having worked many years in homeless services and peer support for adults.
