SUMMARY:“Adulting” Life Skills Club (Tigard)
DESCRIPTION:Presented by New Horizons Wellness Services \nThis club is ideal for transition age teens and young adults who are struggling to gain the skills needed for independence in adulthood. Participants work with peers to complete activities designed to independent living skills. If your child is not attending Occupational Therapy sessions at NHWS\, we will complete a brief free screening to determine if this program is a good match for your child. \nCost: $400 for each 4 session cycle. This club is not eligible for reimbursement through insurance. Facilitator: Melodie Ethel-King OTR/L \n  \nAges 17-22 \nWednesdays 11:00 to 12:00 pm \nSession 1: July 5\, 12\, 19\, 26 \nSession 2: August 2\, 9\, 16\, 23 \nJuly- Intensive topic: nutrition\, meal planning\, cooking and kitchen tool use/safety. \nAug- Intensive topic: money management\, banking\, budgeting\, shopping \n  \nSpace is limited for these specialized sessions!
