Oregon has one of the highest rates of autism in the U.S. If you haven't already, you will meet someone with autism. People with autism want to lead fulfilling lives and make a meaningful contribution to society. Together, we can make that happen.

Amazing Moms, A Faith-Based Life Group. Meets every Thursday from 10:00am - 12:00 noon at 13308 NE 34th Circle, Vancouver, WA 98682. This is a Life Group for Moms with children experiencing special needs. They also have a virtual library. In the future they may have occasional Skype meetings as not all moms can physically attend. Club Upside Open Gym. Parent to Parent of SW WA and the Northwest Down Syndrome Association host Club Upside on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 2-4 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 5607 NE Gher Rd., Vancouver. This is a place where parents can share and children can play. All ages and abilities welcome. Contact Brenda at 360-953-1597 or Abby at 971-998-8744.
 

IEP Mentors. IEP Mentors and Advocates are available for free to families through the Parent Coalition. Families are interviewed about their child’s needs and matched with a trained mentor who is available to go to any IEP / school meeting with the family. Mentors are available throughout Clark County. Men's Support Group. Meets the 3rd Friday of each month, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at LifePoint Church, 305 NE 192nd Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98684. (Meeting entrance and parking in the back). Teen Autism Game Club. A parent-run monthly event that provides teens with High Functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome, and their families, social opportunities in a recreational environment. For any teen (13-19) on the autism spectrum, their parents and responsible siblings. Meets 1st Saturday of each month, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. at Grace Baptist Church, 1280 W. Jewett, White Salmon WA, use back parking lot entry.This is NOT a drop-off event. At least one parent is required to stay for the entire time your children are there. You will be expected to check in on your teen, and their siblings, on a regular basis. Please NO TEEN RATED GAMES.  Click here to send an email for more information.
