Help! I Want to Fit In and Make Friends.
What can you do to help youth on the autism spectrum?

Michael Brooke, PsyD., a licensed psychologist, received his doctoral training at Rutgers University where he provided services to people on the autism spectrum at the renowned Douglas Developmental Disabilities Center. Now in private practice, Dr. Brooke specializes in providing services to youth and adults on the autism spectrum or who struggle with social situations.

At this free workshop, Dr. Brooke will address concerns of older children and teens (ages 9-18) and adults on the autism spectrum who:
  • Struggle to fit in and make friends
  • Are bullied
  • Are isolated from peers
  • Experience anxiousness and loneliness
Participants will learn new tools for teaching conversation skills, for understanding the process that leads to friendships and for reducing the risk of bullying. This workshop is appropriate for families and professionals new to the subject.
