The Misunderstood Child:
Understanding Sensory Processing Disorder

At this free presentation on the sensory processing needs of children, Sharron will assist parents, professionals, and caregivers in understanding:

  • Sensory processing and difficulties that may be attributable to sensory processing disorders
  • The essential ingredients of an effective sensory diet
  • The impact of sensory processing on attention, learning, behaviors and social interaction
  • Take away tools that can help a child get "in sync" in the classroom, home or clinic
Participants will learn new tools for teaching conversation skills, for understanding the process that leads to friendships and for reducing the risk of bullying. This workshop is appropriate for families and professionals new to the subject.
