Enhancing the lives of children with developmental disabilities and challenging issues

  

Presenter: Stephanie Hunter, OTAC, Behavior Specialist

Location: Foothills Community Church, 122 Grange Ave, Molalla

 

This training will provide participants with information about behavior, communication, and effective simple proactive strategies that can help to decrease challenging behavior and increase independence. 

 

Stephanie Hunter is a behavior specialist for OTAC and brings over 12 years of experience in residential, vocational; foster/proctor care, and family home settings. Stephanie specializes in creating person-centered alternative communication systems, conducting functional assessment, behavior support plan development, and implementing supports that are family-centered. She is a 2008 graduate of Oregon Partners in Policymaking, a subcommittee member of the governor's autism commission focusing on services for children, an active special education advocate, and a parent of a child with autism.
