ASL Sign Language

ASL Sign Language

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering ASL Sign Language classes for parents/guardians of children with communication challenges or hearing impairment.

Signing has been proven to be an effective way for children with oral communication challenges to communicate at home, school and in the community.  By providing these children with a method of communication other than speech, frustration and difficult behaviors are sometimes greatly reduced.

This is a beginning sign class  No previous sign experience is needed.

This class is only for parents/guardians or caregivers of children with communication challenges.  Exceptions will be considered depending on the circumstances.

The classes will be held every Wednesday, starting September 21 from 6:30 pm – 8:00pm.   The course will be 8 weeks in length.   Classes are offered free of charge thanks to the generosity of our donors.   Child care will not be provided.   Due to the popularity of this course in the past, we ask you to please commit to completing the full 8 week course.

Space is limited.   You MUST PREREGISTER to attend.

Preference will be given to parents and guardians of children with communication challenges or hearing impairment.
