We are deeply saddened at the killing of London McCabe, allegedly by his mother, in Seal Rock, OR.

London was a 6 year old, non-verbal, autistic boy who smiled a lot and loved hats and fuzzy things.

Please, there is always another choice than killing your child. Call ASO 1-888-AUTISM-1 (tollfree), or 503-636-1676 (Portland-local) and we'll do our best to help.

If a child is in ANY danger of abuse or death in the parent's care, voluntary foster care for special needs children exists, has trained families and the parents don't lose their parental rights. Placement can be from a few hours of respite, to emergency placement for a few days to as long as necessary. It may not be ideal, but it may save a child's life.
